My reminder arrives late

Android delays reminders by up to an hour unless you allow exact timing. In TubNudge, open Settings and tap "Allow" next to "On-time reminders", then switch on "Allow setting alarms and reminders" on the Android page that opens.

I'm not getting reminders at all

Open Settings in TubNudge. If it says "Notifications are off", tap "Turn on". If Android no longer asks, tap "Open system settings" and allow notifications there. Reminders are sent only on days when something is due.

Moving to a new phone

With an account. On the old phone, open Settings, tap "Back up and sync" and sign in with Google. Your data is backed up from then on. On the new phone, install TubNudge, tap "I have a backup to restore" on the first screen, choose "From my account" and sign in with the same Google account.

With a file. On the old phone, open Settings, tap "Export data", and save the file somewhere you can reach from the new phone, such as a cloud drive. On the new phone, install TubNudge, tap "I have a backup to restore" on the first screen and choose "From a file".

Using TubNudge on two phones

Sign in with the same Google account on both phones. On each, open Settings, tap "Back up and sync" and switch on "Sync between phones". From then on a task ticked or a soak logged on one phone shows up on the other within about a minute while the app is open, and the next time you open it otherwise. Nothing is replaced: what each phone already held is merged. Reminders are still planned on each phone, so a reminder that was already showing can be out of date; tapping "Done" on it never makes a second entry.

Without sync, an account is a backup for one phone at a time. Turning sync off, or signing out, keeps your tubs on the phone.

Sharing a tub

Turn on "Sync between phones" first. Then on the same screen tap "Share a tub", tap "Invite someone" and "Send link", and send the link to the person you mean. A link works once and expires after seven days; "Cancel this invite" stops it sooner. They open it on their Android phone with TubNudge installed, sign in with Google, and tap "Join". Joining is free.

The people you invite can tick tasks off, log soaks, add notes and update supplies. Only you can change the tub's setup and schedule, switch tasks off, or delete the tub. History shows who did what. A tub can be shared with up to four people.

To remove someone, open "Share a tub", tap the three dots beside their name and "Remove". To leave a tub someone shared with you, open the Tub tab and tap "Leave this tub" at the bottom. Either way the tub comes off that person's phone the next time it syncs, and the owner keeps everything.

An invite link doesn't work

Open the link on the phone that has TubNudge. If the app says the invite has expired, was canceled or has already been used, ask the tub's owner for a new one: each link works for one person, once.

Signing in asks which copy to keep

If the phone and your account hold different data, TubNudge asks before anything changes, and shows under each copy how much it holds and when it last changed. "This phone" replaces the backup with what is on the phone. "Your backup" replaces what is on the phone with the backup. "Decide later" signs you out again and changes nothing.

Deleting your account

Open Settings, tap "Back up and sync", then "Delete account and backup" and confirm. This removes your account, its backup and the tubs you synced from TubNudge's server. A tub you shared is removed for the people you shared it with. What is on your phone stays. If you can't open the app, write to support@tubnudge.com from the email address of the account and we will delete it for you. "Sign out" keeps the account and the backup and only stops this phone from backing up.

My tub isn't in the list

Tap "My tub isn't listed" during setup and enter the details by hand. The schedule starts from sensible defaults, and you can change every interval on the Tub tab. Tell us the make and model and we'll look at adding it.

The schedule doesn't match my manual

Your manual wins. Open the Tub tab, tap the task, and set how often it repeats. You can also add tasks of your own from the same list.

Why did a task move earlier?

The more a tub is used, the faster its water and filters are used up. So when you soak more than five times a week, TubNudge suggests "Drain and refill" and "Deep-clean filter" a little sooner: 10% sooner for each soak a week over five, and never more than 30%. The task is then marked "Heavy use". It is a suggestion based on a rule of thumb, not a measurement. If your water tests fine, keep your usual interval.

To switch it off, open the Tub tab and turn off "Adjust for heavy use" under "Soaks per week". Setting your own interval for a task also stops it for that task: tap the task on the Tub tab and choose how often it repeats.

I marked something done by mistake

Tap "Undo" on the message that appears, or tap the task's check again the same day.

Water chemistry

TubNudge reminds you to test and maintain your tub. It does not measure water or recommend chemical doses. Follow your test kit and your tub maker's guidance.
